Why is a quality preschool so important?

Most of the brain’s development occurs in the first five years of life, during the preschool years.

Where is Ivy Prep Located?

Ivy Prep is located on Belcher Road, between East Bay Drive and Belleair Road. Ivy Prep is the first driveway south of Belleair Road. It is the two-story green house that sits back from the road.

What days is Ivy Prep scheduled to be closed or close early?

Ivy Prep scheduled holidays / planning days:

· New Year’s Day - January 1st

· Martin Luther King Day – Parent Teacher Conference Day

· Good Friday

· The day after Easter

· Memorial Day

· Teacher Planning Day in June

· Juneteenth Holiday

· 4th and 5th of July

· Close at 12:00pm on Graduation Day (The last Friday in July)

· Labor Day

· Close at 5:00pm on Halloween

· Wednesday – Friday of Thanksgiving Week

· A Week at Christmas (dates vary each year)

· New Years Eve - December 31st

How long is the waiting list and how does it work?

The waiting list varies for each classroom, the children are grouped on the waiting list by their date of birth.

When an opening comes available we go down the waiting list for that age group and email an invitation to enroll. At that point, the first family from the waiting list that responds to the email by registering will receive the spot.

When are tours given at Ivy Prep?

Tours are given Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 6:00pm. No appointment is necessary for a tour.

If I have an emergency, how do I quickly reach my child’s teacher?

Please feel free to use the emergency number on the voicemail, this is the director’s cell phone, (727) 641-0929. Upon enrollment, each family is also given the cell phone number to their child’s teacher.

Why does Ivy Prep require all students to have their immunizations.

At Ivy Prep we have infants that are just beginning to receive their immunizations. To help insure these infants remain healthy, we require immunizations of all children at Ivy Prep. We appreciate and understand that some families prefer to not partake in immunizations and we would be happy to help you find a school that does not follow this policy.

What are the withdrawal requirements?

We realize at times, families need to withdraw their children for job relocation, financial reasons, etc. For withdrawal, we require 2 months written notification, as this allows us to continue to provide quality education and care, while we fill the vacant spot.
