Building a community of lifelong learners.
As a gifted preschool, we provide opportunities for children to reach their true potential. At Ivy Prep, children experience daily gifted enrichment activities. Upon completion of our program, many of the children have an I.Q. in the above to superior range and exceed expectations when they begin kindergarten.

Ivy Prep has researched and selected a curriculum that has given superior results in academic achievement. This advanced curriculum has proven to provide kindergarten readiness skills by enabling children to achieve higher test scores in the elementary years.
In addition to the accelerated curriculum, the children at Ivy Prep are also taught French, Spanish, and Sign Language.
We know that learning is easier when you have an excellent teacher. Ivy Prep is so fortunate to have such an amazing faculty. Our teachers are passionate about the subjects they teach and bring this enthusiasm into their lessons. The teachers at Ivy Prep provide a loving and nurturing environment for the children.
At Ivy Prep, preschool is filled with opportunities to discover, experiment, imagine, create, and explore.
Our Signature Ivy Prep Experiences bring together advanced learning, science, literature, art, language, nature, movement, and purposeful play. These thoughtfully planned experiences allow children to develop important academic skills while nurturing the curiosity and love of learning that make the preschool years so special.

Children learn at different rates, and some are ready to explore concepts well beyond traditional preschool expectations.
Ivy Prep provides advanced learning opportunities throughout the school day while maintaining the joyful, hands-on experiences that are so important during early childhood.
Our Pre-K students build strong foundations in letters and sounds, early reading, writing, mathematics, science, geography, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Teachers are able to provide individualized attention and additional challenges for children who are ready to move ahead.
The Ivy Prep difference: Advanced learning without taking the childhood out of preschool.

The Ivy Prep Butterfly Atrium gives children the extraordinary opportunity to observe the butterfly life cycle firsthand.
Children learn about the transformation from egg to caterpillar, chrysalis, and butterfly while helping care for the living creatures they are studying.
They observe caterpillars, learn how butterflies feed, explore the needs of living things, and experience one of nature's most fascinating transformations right at school.
The Butterfly Atrium combines science, nature, responsibility, observation, and wonder in an experience children remember long after preschool.
Some things are best learned by seeing them happen.

Some of our former Ivy Prep students who first explored medicine, anatomy, and healthcare through the Ivy Prep Pre-Med activities are now pursuing their own medical education. Today, we are incredibly proud to have former Ivy Prep students pursuing medical degrees of their own.
During Ivy Prep's Pre-Med Teddy Bear Hospital experience, children step into the fascinating world of medicine and healthcare through age-appropriate hands-on learning.
Our little doctors explore medical vocabulary, anatomy, health, the human body, medical tools, and the important work of healthcare professionals.
Teddy bears become patients as children use dramatic play and real-world learning experiences to examine, diagnose, care for, and help their furry patients feel better.
Science, vocabulary, compassion, problem-solving, and imaginative play all come together during one of Ivy Prep's most memorable experiences.
Future doctors may start by caring for a teddy bear.

Some of the best learning happens outside the classroom.
With seven playgrounds, including a musical playground, Ivy Prep gives children abundant opportunities to run, climb, create, investigate nature, build friendships, develop coordination, and enjoy the outdoors.
Children also participate in movement and sports experiences, including soccer and tennis.
Outdoor play supports physical development, confidence, cooperation, problem-solving, and imagination.
At Ivy Prep, outdoor time isn't an interruption from learning.
It is part of learning.

Books are an important part of every day at Ivy Prep.
Throughout the year, children explore exceptional children's literature and learn about favorite authors through stories, art, dramatic play, science, music, cooking, vocabulary, and creative activities inspired by the books they read.
Literature becomes much more than story time when children are given opportunities to step inside a story, investigate its ideas, create something inspired by it, and connect books with the world around them.
Our goal is not simply to teach children how to read.
We want children to love reading.

Science is an important part of learning at Ivy Prep.
Children conduct experiments, make predictions, observe changes, compare results, ask questions, and learn to use real scientific tools.
From chemistry and physics to geology, nature, weather, coding, biology, and the world around us, children are encouraged to investigate rather than simply be told an answer.
Magnifying glasses, microscopes, measuring tools, experiments, specimens, sensory materials, and hands-on investigations help make scientific concepts meaningful and memorable.
At Ivy Prep, science is something children experience.

Young children are naturally receptive to language.
At Ivy Prep, children are introduced to French, Spanish, Chinese, and Sign Language through developmentally appropriate songs, vocabulary, conversation, movement, stories, and playful learning experiences.
Early exposure to different languages encourages children to listen carefully, notice patterns, appreciate different cultures, and discover that there is more than one way to communicate an idea.
Throughout the year, children experience different cultures through special celebrations, guest speakers, and hands-on activities. Highlights include our Chinese New Year Dragon Parade, exploring Alaska with authentic artifacts, and learning about Italian culture while making pasta and pizza with an Italian chef.
These experiences help children understand that people around the world may speak different languages, celebrate different traditions, eat different foods, and live in different environments—while encouraging curiosity, respect, and an appreciation for the world beyond their own community.
Learning about our world begins with learning how people communicate within it.

Art at Ivy Prep goes far beyond making a craft.
Children are introduced to artists, artistic styles, techniques, colors, textures, materials, and famous works of art while developing their own creativity and confidence.
They paint, draw, sculpt, construct, design, mix colors, experiment with different materials, and discover that there are many wonderful ways to create.
A highlight of our art program is the Annual Ivy Prep Museum, when children's artwork is displayed and celebrated in a special museum-style exhibition. The experience gives our young artists an opportunity to proudly share their work and allows families to see the creativity, learning, and artistic growth that has taken place
Studying art also encourages observation, concentration, fine-motor development, decision-making, and self-expression.
At Ivy Prep, children don't just learn about art—they become the artists.
