Employees will dress professionally. With the clientele at Ivy Prep, it is critical that our staff portray an extremely professional image. The dress code at Ivy Prep is similar to dress as an elementary school teacher. We encourage you to dress cute and stylish.

*Clothing can have store and brand logos, but must not have a logo of another company (clothing brand logos are fine).
*Ivy Prep shirts are available for purchase.
* Shorts cannot be worn without an Ivy Prep shirt. Jeans can only be worn on Fridays and must be worn with an Ivy Prep shirt (except for party days, jeans cannot be worn to family functions/parties).

-High Heels (would be difficult to walk on the playground with these on)
* If you are unsure about a clothing item, please check with administration or a key teacher.
* Clothing should not be stained, torn, dirty, ripped or faded. Clothing should be ironed or pressed and be wrinkle-free. The clothing should fit appropriately and not be too tight. No bellies, backs, or cleavage should be visible. No undergarments should ever be visible…keep pants and skirts pulled up.
The following piercings are NOT permitted at Ivy Prep: facial, belly, nose, lip, tongue, body, bolt, ear (other than standard lower lobe), etc. Ear piercings must not be oversized and ear pierced holes must not be stretched. Only single (or close together double), thin, standard lower ear lobe piercings are permitted.
No un-natural hair colorings. Hair color choices must appear natural. Natural hair colors are hair colors people are born with. No shaved heads, no partial shaved heads, no Mohawks, no partial mohawks, no dreadlocks, and no knotted hair. Hair should be combed and appear professional.
No tattoos showing. Tattoos must NOT be visible. Some teachers that have tattoos, wear long sleeves, long pants, etc. to cover these.
Shoes or sandals should be appropriate for work. Slippers and beachwear (flip-flops and thongs) are not permitted (dressy flip flops/sandals are fine).
Fingernails should be clean and cut short to prevent injuring children.
During times of severe illness/pandemics, masks/face coverings may be required to be worn at all times as part of the Ivy Prep dress code.
Please know that continued employment and discretionary monetary recognition are impacted greatly by following dress code. Staff should not have to be reminded to follow dress code, this can result in being sent home to change and/or termination.
